William Knox accompanied his older brother Henry on the famous expedition from Ticonderoga to Boston in December of 1775, transporting 59 pieces of artillery to Washington’s army outside of Boston. This t-shirt features the emblem of William Knox’s Boston Independent Company gorget, which is held in Fort Ticonderoga’s collection. The design shows an armored arm holding an unsheathed sword and the motto “Inimica Tyrannis” - Hostile to Tyrants.
